Stemdrive mixing system out performs traditional gas systems
The Stemdrive fluidic mixer was developed in Scotland, to mix a wide rage of materials, providing a unique solution to the fluid and semi-fluid transfer problems.
The fluidic mixer can mix liquids, sludge, slurries or solids found within the chemical, food and water effluent treatment industries, although this is not an exhaustive list, the fluidic mixer is designed to work in arduous conditions.
Our mixers are safe to use in hazardous areas and conditions not suited to normal mechanical mixing. The Stemdrive mixer is fully submersible, can run continuously even in rigorous applications, holding rags and grit in suspension
The robust nature of the fluidic mixer, results in mixing events of relatively short duration, providing a favourable comparison to other air mixing systems which require extended/continual periods of operation.
With no moving parts in contact with the media being mixed, it is both environmentally friendly and energy efficient.
Fluidic mixers should be operated sequentially, to create movement within the tank, drawing heavier material across the tank to the fluidic mixer.
Energised air bubbles exit the fluidic mixer, the lighter material rises, due to the expansion of the rising air-bubbles and decrease in pressure. This creates movement within the tank. Denser material is subsequently drawn down and across the tank towards the fluidic mixer. This denser material passes through the mixer creating movement within the tank. It is this movement within the tank that mixes the media from bottom to top.
The fluidic mixer does not block or “rag-up”, the mixer has an inherent self cleaning property – when the mixing system is initiated, any material accumulated at the rear of the mixer is cleared as the mixer transfers air to the rear of the unit.
