Mk3 Mixing Nozzle
This is our standard sludge mixing nozzle – it has an aggressive ‘Roll Over’ mixing action, which mixes from bottom to top of sludge, prevents stratification and the formation of crust or matting.
Our nozzles are available in 50mm, 80mm and 100mm sizes.
The patented STEM Drive Mk3 fluidic mixer is manufactured from stainless steel, contains no moving parts removing the requirement for annual maintenance.
Our mixers can be used to mix a wide range of materials, primarily, bio-solids, sludge and slurries found within the chemical, food and water effluent treatment industries, although this is not an exhaustive list. Designed to work in arduous conditions, our mixers are safe to use in hazardous areas and conditions not suited to normal mechanical mixing. The STEM Drive mixer is fully submersible, can run continuously even in rigorous applications. With no moving parts in contact with the media being mixed, it is both environmentally friendly and energy efficient.
STEM Drive fluidic mixing range

All our mixers are manufactured at our workshop by highly skilled tradesman. This gives us complete control over the manufacture of the nozzles and our customers benefit from a quality UK manufactured product.
Hydrovane Compressors
STEM Drive alongside Airmac-Gdi Limited use Hydrovane Rotary Vane Compressors for the majority of site installations. The Hydrovane compressor produces high quality, clean, dry and pulse free air on demand. Hydrovane compressors are both quiet and reliable, a direct drive system and slow speed operation (1450-1760 rpm) which typically provide up to 100,000 + operating hours and noise levels as low as 69 dB(A). If serviced in line with the manufacturers recommendations, rotary vane compressors will require minimum maintenance.
Hydrovane compressors are fitted with the Hydrovane Pro Electronic Controller as standard, the system provides reliable operation and continuously monitors the operational parameters of the compressor . The control package supplied with the compressor has an integral emergency stop. The compressor has a phase 3 400v 50Hz motor, which comes complete with thermistors as standard with a 110v winding anti condensation heaters as an additional feature. The starting mode is via a local starter or by means of an MCC, our standard package has a volt free common alarm to initiate an external telemetry alarm.
All our compressors are supplied with weatherproof enclosures for outdoor operation as shown in the photo above.
Lightweight Mixer
This unit is based on the standard Mk3 Mixing nozzle but with reduced dimensions and weight – now only 5.3 kg – making this a really portable unit and ideal for occasional or emergency mixing.
Sparge Lines
Our bespoke Sparge Lines complete with integral non-return valves, can be manufactured to suit various applications, ideal for use in channels, transfer lines and sumps.
